It all begins in 2015, in the corridors of HEC Montréal, where two visions meet without yet knowing they will redefine a local company; a few years later, between 2017 and 2023, Jean-Philippe Michaud and Louis G. Langelier take over Multinautic.
A company specializing in residential docks, with a clear idea in mind: preserve the expertise, but rethink everything else, structure, modernize, evolve; while optimizing operations and strengthening the foundations, another ambition takes shape: going beyond the dock, beyond the water’s edge, to embrace the entire backyard; this is how Korto Structures is born.
A natural extension of their vision, dedicated to outdoor living with pergolas and planters designed to be beautiful, accessible, and above all built by those who use them; from Saint-Sauveur, they build far more than products, they create an experience, a pride in doing it yourself, a lifestyle where every outdoor space becomes a personal project.
Today, through a network of over 300 points of sale across North America and a growing online presence, their journey embodies a new generation of entrepreneurs: grounded, strategic, and bold, capable of evolving a business without losing its essence, and transforming a simple backyard into something that lasts.

Korto comes from the English word "Court - Courtyard" - an area open to the sky at the back of buildings.
Korto offers do-it-yourself (DIY) solutions that enhance the outdoor residential living space. Korto offers quality designs at excellent prices to both casual crafters and professionals.
With a solid expertise in ready-to-assemble kit design, the team of enthusiasts went back to the drawing board in 2019 to design a line of complementary products to support homeowners of all types in their backyard projects.
Driven by a desire to democratize sometimes inaccessible solutions and offer a memorable experience, our team is working relentlessly to constantly unveil new products that will be available in stores and online in the upcoming months.
